Special Island Menu
Flagstaff
House has been selected by Prince Resorts to
open a high end restaurant and bar at the Mauna Kea Beach
Hotel in Hawaii. To commemorate this new development, the Flagstaff
House Restaurant will be offering a special “island” menu
during March and April 2009 in addition to its traditional menu.

The celebration menu will include food offerings
fresh from the big island of Hawaii, including:
First Course:
Puna Gardens hearts of palm with avocado, tot soi greens,
toasted macadamia nuts and yuzu vinagarette
Second Course:
Ahi “tuna fish sandwich” — Chef Monette’s
version
Ahi tuna carpacio, terrine of foie gras and extra virgin olive
oil
Third Course:
Opakapaka, palm plank roasted
Coconut sticky rice, baby bok choy, banana and roasted sweet peppers
Fourth Course:
Pineapple braised pork cheeks with tarow root
Dessert:
Chocolate Tart, Blood Orange Mousse with Hawaiian Vanilla Bean
Sauce
The price for this special menu will be $58 per
person, plus tax and gratuity. To include wine pairings will
be an additional $35 per person.
Note: This special menu will be served
in March and April 2009.
